Alright! So we have our foals, but what comes next? Designing and submitting those designs!
Helpful Resources to look at going forward:
Design Guide - Your go-to for natural genes, and how they would look! While these give you helpful guides on how base colors look, its also encouraged that you look up other examples of how that coat would look - especially with the variety of white markings!
Anomalies - Your go-to for Anomalies, or Mutations, that your Quirlicorns may have! Be sure to take a good look through the various Anomalies, as well as checking out the tabs below each anomaly for how they interact with each other! Be sure to read carefully - some Anomalies cover the entire coat, some only cover markings, and it can vary from Ancient to Modern!
Lineart - Find the lineart(s) for your foal here! There are .psd files available, as well as some .png versions. If you need a .png version of a file, don't hesitate to ask around. This is what you will be designing on!
Incentives - Incentives are monthly bonuses that can add to the designs of your Quirlicorns. Each month brings something new, so feel free to check them out! The monthly incentive active for your foal will also be listed on your Breeding Post.
Regions & Magic - Regions determine the magic your Quirlicorn can access at the lower Chime levels, so feel free to take a peek here, especially if you have a Natural (non Anomaly) foal!
Understanding your Foal Options
When you receive your breeding, you might notice you have four different options! You may only pick one, and it will determine how your foal turns out. Its always a great idea to reference the Design Guide & Anomalies page for figuring out which one you want to choose.
So what does everything mean?
ID: This is the unique ID assigned to your Quirlicorn!
( Sire ID x Dam ID) - These are the ID numbers assigned to the sire and dam that were chosen for the breeding
Type: Type defines what kind of Quirlicorn you have. It could be Ancient, Modern, or Color-Fusion, which is a combination of both!
Region: Region determines what Region and Magic your Quirlicorn can access!
Geno: Geno is the genetics of the horse, the genetic material it carries and can pass on
Color: Color is a translation of the Geno. It is what tells you (in easier to understand language) what your foal can look like!
Submitting Your Foal Design
First things first- Foal Designs are submitted through the Design Nexus
At the top you will see a set of forms. You will want the one for the Foal Submission, as seen below. Let's take a look at what each section means!
Link to design: ___ (please don't use the attachment feature, instead leave us a link to your original file so we can easily save the file for upload on our admin account) - This is where you link the foal design!
Breeding Thread: In this spot you will want a link to the post where you sent in your breeding and received the foal options
Owner: Your name of course!
ID: The ID is the number listed at the top of your foal options
Name: What name you would like to assign them
Gender: Mare or Stallion here! It's preferred that you use those terms because at quick glance "Male" can easily look like Mare, and its easiest to avoid confusion or mistakes by having Mare or Stallion listed
Breed: ___ Quirlicorn (Modern/Ancient/Color Fusion) - This is the Quirlicorns Type!
Color: This is the color, the spelled out version of what your Quirlicorn looks like.
Genos: This is where you put the string of letters from the geno you chose! For both this and color, feel free to just copy and paste
Region: ___ (if no mutation genes are present and it's not an ancient Quirlicorn with base coat mutation pick a single region (Astral region exempt), otherwise it is All Regions) - As you might have guessed, region goes here!
Monthly Incentive: ___ (Month and Year) - Regardless if you used the Incentive in your design, the Month & Year that your Quirlicorn was bred during go here.
Lineage: The lineage is your horses ancestry! Simply listing the ID numbers for each parent & grandparent will suffice, no need for links and names! If you have a starter in your lineage, list "Unknown" for anything past that (see example form below).

Parent Slots: (only when applicable) - Parent slots are a nice way of saying "Thank you!" to other members for giving you a slot to their Quirlicorn. In that case, their name(s) would go in these slots below. While not mandatory, it is a nice gesture!
