Hello there!

Breeding can seem a bit confusing at first, but Quirlicorns has tons of resources to help you easily navigate!

A few links to check out before you get started:

Breeding - The go-to for information on breeding! It covers a bunch of helpful information that is worth looking over before you send in your breeding.
Design Guide & Anomalies - These two sections are your go-to for checking out what you might get from a breeding! Looking through those pages can give you an idea how the Mutations (Anomalies) interact with each other, as well as the base coat in certain situations.
Dews - You might have a Dew(Items that can be used in a variety of ways) in your bank that you would want to apply to a breeding. This link has all of your information for what dews apply to breeding, as well as what they can do!
Regions & Magic - This page lists the Regions of the Quirlicorns land, and the magics that come from them. This is especially helpful to look over if breeding two natural (no Mutations) Quirlicorns. A Quirlicorns Region determines the magic they can access as they gain Chimes, so its a helpful thing to keep in mind when breeding!

After all that I bet you are saying "Let's get to the fun part!". Well first things first, you will want to double check that the Breeding Slots are marked for you. Let's take a peek at how that would look!

732 Iona - Take a peek at this lovely girls Log. If you scroll down to the bottom you will see her Breeding Slots. There is a slot marked with my name (Aedrielle) and nothing following it. That makes it good to use! You will want to double check any horse you plan to breed to ensure that they have a slot marked off for you before sending it in, even on your own horses.

Filling Out the Breeding Form
Alright here we go! So in the Breeding Forum you will see this lovely form at the top.

Sire:  This is where you link the log of the Sire, or Father, that you would like to use.
Geno: (if Color Fusion, please choose the Ancient OR the Modern geno) The Geno is the Genetics of the horse, listed in the "geno" section of the horses log (in the top information block). To save yourself from having to type it all, copy & paste works wonders!
Region: The Sire's Region goes here, which is at the bottom of the first information block on the log. This also helps determine what Region your foal may be!

Dam: This is where you link the Log of the Dam, or Mother, that you would like to use.
Geno: (if Color Fusion, please choose the Ancient OR the Modern geno) The Geno is the Genetics of the horse, listed in the "geno" section of the horses log (in the top information block). To save yourself from having to type it all, copy & paste works wonders!
Region: The Dam's Region goes here, which is at the bottom of the first information block on the log. This also helps determine what Region your foal may be!

Dew(s) to apply: This is where you list what (if any) Dew's you would like applied to the breeding. If not applying any, feel free to leave it blank or simply list "N/A" in this slot.

So what does that all mean?
The Sire & Dam are the parents of the foal, and they must be linked in their respective places to ensure breeding can be processed, as well as making sure they are eligible to breed.
The Geno, or genetics of the horse determine the outcome of the foal. This is their breedable genetic information that they can potentially pass on to their foals.
Regions determine what Magic your Quirlicorn can access. If a foal is born with a Mutation(Anomaly), they are considered "All Regions" and therefore can access magic from any of the Regions in Quirlicorns.

A Small Breakdown:
Natural x Natural (Same Region) - One Region
Natural x Natural (Different Regions) - Either Region A or Region B
Mutation x Natural (Natural Foal) - Choice of Regions
Mutation x Natural (Mutation Foal) - All Regions
Mutation x Mutation (Mutation Foal) - All Regions

Example Form

Sire: 1852 Aster
Geno: ee aa nCr nW nFrs nMlt
Region: All Regions

Dam: I116 Liana
Geno: Ee A+A+ nT nP nZ nLp
Region: Plains

Dew(s) to apply: N/A

If you take a quick look at each horses link, you can see that each has a slot marked off for my username, and are able to be used. I copied the genos from their logs, and listed their regions accordingly. These two are not related, both have open breeding spots marked appropriately, and are ready to go!
