Advent:
The Quirlicorn Advent will be posted each day from December 1st through December 21st (The solstice).
For this years Advent we’ll raffle off one Quirlicorn each day. We’ll also gift the listed item for that day to each person who enters the raffle. This means that you can win something every single day, so be sure to keep an eye out for each days Advent being posted.
Unlike previous years, we wont restrict members to winning only one Quirlicorn in the Advent raffles, however we will be enforcing a 1 week registration requirement (no art is required to register Quirlicorns with our new system, essentially all you’ll have to do to register one of these is to give us a name, gender, and region for it).
If a raffled off Quirlicorn is not registered within 1 week, we will re-roll for a new winner giving them a week to register etc.
If you win a Quirlicorn you do not want, we highly encourage you to reach out to another member who does want it and see if they might want it gifted to them. We do not allow resale of Advent Quirlicorns, but trades or gifting them is perfectly acceptable. If you don’t want one of the Quirlicorns offered for the day, you can also opt out of that part of the raffle by letting us know in your comment to exempt you from the Quirlicorn raffle that day.
Winter Solstice:
The Winter Solstice will be posted on the 21st of December, and as usual will feature a fun prompt to get your Quirlicorns magic firing! Please keep an eye out for that posting.
Joust Pas d’Armes:
December Joust Pas d’Armes is running as usual. Please be sure to sign up on or before December 5th if you wish to participate in the Joust Pas d’Armes this month. You can find the link for signing up HERE.

Our Black Friday Sales are running through the end of 2020, so this is a great time to purchase any customs or dews you’d like. Everything is 50% off!
Mystery Box Customs
On Black Friday we officially started offering Mystery Box Customs, which are discounted customs where the pheno/geno is randomly generated for you.
Mystery Box Customs provide you with 2 genos/phenos and you can choose one.
Mystery Box Customs can be designed by you, your friend, someone you commission for it, or by a Quirlicorn admin.
Please note that Mystery Box Customs that are being designed by a Quirlicorn admin will be handled like Semi-Customs are, in that we design for you and what you get is what you get, we will not make edits to the designs.
Admining on DA
We realize that the move to our own website has not been an easy transition for some. We know that some people simply don’t want to have to worry about going to another website in order to participate in the breed.
With the switch to Eclipse being so short notice for us all, and us not having the proper support and functions from the site, trying to admin the breed through DA wasn’t very realistic, which is what led us to move all admin duties to our own website.
Over the past few months we’ve allowed a handful of actions to still be sent to us on DA so that members could still participate without having to use our new site. It is the goal that when DA becomes more useable for us again, we’ll start allowing more things to be sent to us there again also, while still utilizing the new website as well.
If you’ve been considering leaving us because you want to stick with DA only, we highly encourage you to stick around a bit longer and simply wait for DA to restore needed functions so we can continue letting you use only DA. At this point we just need a way to manage notes better, which should be coming, but we do not know when. In the meanwhile we’ll continue accepting event submissions to the group on DA.
If you do not want to stick it out with us, we understand that too and wish you well.
Quirlicorns does not have any official deceasing procedures, but know that your characters are yours to do and take where you see fit.
December Incentive - Yule Deer
Is it December already? With the winter solstice nearing, magic is increasing in the world of Quirlicorns.
As we all know, Quirlicorns reach peaks in their magic on each solstice, but this winter something unexpected happened! Foals born in the month of December have been found to take on special traits. Tails distorted into a small tuft of fluff, horns now antlers, swirls and quirls optional. The cause of this is still uncertain, but we speculate that the solstice’s magic is at work here, so take advantage of it while you can! For this months incentive any Quirlicorns bred or imported may add antlers of any type and or deer like tails in place of the standard Quirlicorn horns and/or tails.
December Quirlicorn Of The Month
1791 – Hearts Boxcars by ScarletKittyCat
Hearts has been a well loved and well known Quirlicorn since his conception. Hearts can often be found in official events or Joust Pas d’Armes. Cloria’s Grandson, he’s true to the Plague mutation he carries.
We look forward to seeing all the future shenanigans Hearts gets himself into, as we continue to watch him grow.
