Quirlicorn MYO Event
Welcome to another official MYO Quirlicorn event!
If you are unfamiliar with our breed but saw someone mention this event and wanted to check out more, here is a basic overview of our breed:
Have you ever wanted to have unicorns with awesome hair, swirly horns, and amazing colors? Look no further because Quirlicorns is the group for you! With an awesome community who encourages having a lot of freedom and creativity (as well as hoarding) there is a place for everyone in the Quirlicorn community. Join us and start your hoard er herd today!
In Quirlicorns, the only requirement is being nice and having fun! This MYO event is the perfect gateway into starting the breed. Our community is always willing to answer any questions you have, as well as bounce ideas around to help you create the Quirlicorn of your dreams! Do you like Art? Lets draw some Quirlicorns! Do you prefer to write? The Quirlicorn world is waiting to be explored! Want to be overly hyped up about any Quirlicorn related creation you share? Boy do we got you, we are overly excited cheerleaders 99% of the time (and the other 1% we might just be sleeping).

Quirlicorns has more to offer than just looks though. We’re a small but active breed with regular events, and fast turn over time to get admin work done.
We have a small but friendly community, welcoming all who join. If you use Discord we encourage you to join our server to make some new friends, or just to keep up to date with the breed in real time.

- This event is open to current members as well as new members
- 1 MYO per user is permitted, alternate accounts are not eligible for a free MYO
- up to 4 mutations permitted (please read disclaimer below about mutation MYOs)
- 1 Sacred Tree Dew OR 1 Cursed Dew may be applied free of charge
- Designs must meet breed standards so must go through an approval stage (be sure to save your psd file in case updates are required)
- All designs must be made on our Official Quirlicorn Starter lines
- MYO designs must be submitted for registration within 60 days of acquiring the ID# (unregistered IDs will be recycled)
Mutation MYO Disclaimer:
If you are opting to make a design with Quirlicorn Mutations, that is perfectly fine. Remember there is a cap of 4 mutations you may use to create your new friend.
Since these MYO’s are free of charge the mutation genes will not be breedable. This means that your new Quirlicorn may look like any of our mutations, but will not actually carry the gene(s) for those mutations.
If you wish to add the mutations at a later date there are some options. Either you can unlock mutation genes through leveling your Quirlicorn via Chimes, or you are welcome to outright purchase the mutation genes as you would a custom import. We also allow Mutation Import Customs which were won in events to be exchanged for unlocking mutations on horses like this.
Additionally, we want to point out that retired mutation genes are no longer obtainable outside of breeding. If you wish to have designs using such mutations and you wish to add the genes for them down the road, you will only be eligible to add the Samhain gene in their place.
Available Dews for this Event:
- Color Fusion (Creates a Chimera effect giving the Quirlicorn both Modern and Ancient coat and genes)
- Dullahan (Removes flesh from the face, leaving behind just the skull)
- Discrowning (Removes the horn(s))
- Shearing (Removes the mane, OR hair on the tail, OR the coat hair)
- Sleipnir (adds an additional head, set of legs, set of ears, eyes, etc)
- Wandering Spirit (gives non mutation Quirlicorns access to All Regions)
- Cosmic Exchange (allows Quirlicorn to swap its Monthly Incentive)
- Color Veil (allows one gene to be hidden on the Quirlicorns coat)
- Color Blossom (allows one gene to be added to the Quirlicorns coat)
- Sapplings Charm (allows Quirlicorns to be under 8hh)
If you’d like to add additional Dews to your MYO, you are welcome to do so. Please just keep in mind that you’ll either need to purchase any additional dews beyond the 1 free dew for this event, or you’ll have to have the other dews you wish to use in your bank.

As mentioned above, we allow a wide variety of designs within our breed and we’re happy to help you find the right gene combination to make your designs work.

How do I get an ID# so that I can start designing?
Now we get into the home stretch, here is what you have to do in order to get your ID# so that we can process your design.
- Advertise this event on social media (DA, fb, IG, Twitter, etc)
- Post a reply on our MYO 2021 forum Thread linking to your advertisement

You are welcome to use the share features in order to meet the advertisement requirements. (If you’re prefer to share it on your own, that is okay too)
Please be sure that your shared post/advertisement is visible to even those who may not be your friends (we need to be able to verify that it was posted)
Remember! You will not be eligible for an ID# unless you help us advertise this event.
Mutation Gene Unlocks:
We will unlock mutation genes on 2 RNG’d MYOs for every 10 MYOs created.
The more people who join in, the more people will get their mutations unlocked for free.
Unlocks will only be for up to 4 recessive genes.
Deadline:
All ID’s must be claimed by August 31st, 11:59PM.
Any submissions after this date/time will not be eligible for a MYO ID#.
Disclaimer: Quirlicorns are considered an addictive pastime. Symptoms of Quirlicorn Addiction include having a mile long to-do list but doodling a Quirl instead, suddenly looking around and realizing you have more Quirls than you ever planned on, and spending most of the day thinking about Quirlicorns.
